*WV’s Largest Yard Sale is BACK August 5th & 6th of 2022*

Thousands of people bargain hunt WV’s Largest Yard Sale to fulfill a favorite summer pastime – Yard Sales! Hundreds of yard sales line the streets of Buckhannon & Weston and the outskirts of each town. WV’s Largest Yard Sale is all within a 1 hour driving radius, so plan to spend some time enjoying our historic towns & beautiful scenery while here.

Be Prepared! Use our Checklist, below:

• Comfortable Walking Shoes – One of the great things about WV’s Largest Yard Sale is that you get to see our beautiful neighborhoods, and many times you’ll find a long stretch of Yard Sales along one street. But you do have to walk between Yard Sales, so plan to dress comfortably!
• Water, Water and more Water – The weather is always spectacular and sunny during WV’s Largest Yard Sale, so stay hydrated & enjoy! Sunscreen, sunglasses & hats are a good idea, too.
• Shopping Bags – Most of the individual Yard Sales will have bags available for you after you’ve purchased a few items; But it’s a good idea to bring a reusable bag, just in case.
• Cash & Change – It sounds obvious, but remember to bring pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and plenty of ‘small’ bills to purchase your bargain!

Events & Entertainment: After a full day of yard sales, be sure to join Festival Friday in downtown Buckhannon, at Jaw Bone Park. Festival Friday is a weekly celebration with music, entertainment, produce sale and small town charm! Festival Friday starts at 5PM and lasts into the evening until 8PM.

Maps: You’ll be able to see the registered yard sales online late May, as well as get a printed map with The Record Delta. Local hotels will have maps available for overnight guests. More can be found at gas stations, local restaurants, or the local visitor center. Once you have the map in hand, enjoy your journey!

SYCC Flea Market

SYCC will be hosting a Flea Market Saturday, April 20th 8am-5pm. Anyone interested in setting up can reach us at 304-473-0145. Reserve a 10×10 space inside our gym for $25, or outside for $20. Payment must be no later than Monday, April 15.

Opera House

The Opera House is a full-service catering facility & entertainment venue housed in 3 Historic structures, located in the Heart of Historic downtown Buckhannon. In the 1930’s these three separate buildings were connected and opened-up on the 1st floor to accommodate the G.C. Murphy Company 5 & 10 store, which operated here through the 1980’s, before giving in to the big box retailers. We have Transformed the space into a Beautiful Event Center with 100-year old hardwood floors, Coffered Ceilings, Exposed Brick, Colorful Lighting & Stylish Decor. We can seat up to 200-Guests for dinner, have an elevated Stage for entertainment and Stylish Bar to get the Party Going. There is a Green Room off the stage with a full bath, wet bar and make­up table to accommodate everyone’s expectations.
